Analysis of the Reasons for Plugging of Dust Filter Bags and Precautions Share

The main reasons for the plugging of the dust filter bag are the excessively high filtration speed, too tiny and sticky dust, poor dust removal of the filter bag, and the wetness of the filter bag. If the filtration air speed of the dust collector exceeds the design standard of the filter bag, it is very easy to cause the tiny dust in the exhaust gas to get stuck inside the fiber of the filter bag, thereby causing the filter bag to become plugged. It is a better method to use a membrane filter material or a protective powder layer on the surface of the filter bag. For viscous dust, you need to reduce the air velocity of the filter, increase the pressure of pulse spraying, or use offline pulse cleaning of the filter bag, but the better method is to increase the filtration area to reduce the filtration speed and prolong the working life of the filter bag.
Poor dust removal of the filter bag mainly includes frequent dust removal times and excessively long dust removal times. Frequent dust removal times can easily loosen the fiber structure of the filter bag and increase the tiny dust in the exhaust gas to block the filter bag. Excessive long dust removal time will cause the initial dust on the surface of the filter bag to be removed together. If the dust removal time is too short and the dust on the surface of the filter bag has not been completely cleaned, supposing filtering starts immediately, the dust will gradually accumulate on the surface of the filter bag, causing blockage of the filter bag. When solving this problem, adjustments can be made through several trial runs.
The reason for the dampness of the filter bag: The housing of the dust collector is not tightly sealed but leaks, and humid air enters. The compressed air used for back blowing dust is dirty (oil and water included), and the compressed air used for dust cleaning is too cold. In order to prevent the filter bag from getting wet, in cold areas, the compressed air used for dust removal can be dealt with heat preservation, temperature reduction, degreasing, and water removal, and the dust removal can be continued for 10-20 minutes after the dust collector is stopped.
