Relationship Between Dust Holding Capacity of Filter Bag and Filtration Efficiency Share

The dust holding capacity of the filter bag is also called the dust load, and refers to the amount of dust accumulated on the filtration material per unit area when a given resistance value is reached. The dust holding capacity of the filter bag affects the resistance of the filtration material and the length of the ash removal cycle. In order to avoid frequent dust removal operation of the dust removal equipment and prolong the life of the filter bag, it is generally required that the dust holding capacity of the filter bag should be large. The dust holding capacity of the dust collecting bag is related to the air permeability and porosity of the filtration material, and the dust holding capacity of the needle felt filtration material is larger than that of the woven fabric filtration material.

The filtration efficiency of the filter bag is related to the structure of the filtration material on the one hand, and depends on the dust layer formed on the filtration material on the other hand. From the structure of the filtration material, the filtration effect of the short fiber is higher than that of the long fiber. The filtration effect of the needle felt filtration material is higher than that of the woven fabric filtration material. From the point of view of the formation of the dust layer, for the thin filtration material, the dust layer is destroyed after the cleaning, and the efficiency is much reduced. However, the thick filtration material still retains a part of the dust in the filtration material after the cleaning, avoiding excessive ash removal. In general, the filtration material can achieve the highest efficiency without breaking. Therefore, as long as the designing parameters are selected properly, the dust removal effect of the bag filter will not be problematic.
